My introduction to working with dogs professionally was in 2018 at Northwest Dog Project where I—among other responsibilities—helped formulate the rescue animals’ diets. While my passion for nutrition and holistic healing is second to none, my fierce commitment to bully breed advocacy is something I am equally dedicated to. Eventually, I became employed at The Healthy Pet in Eugene, Oregon as well. Owned by Dr. Doreen Hock, THP was the first holistic pet supply store to open in town, and it was here that my passion for nutrition was truly able to take root and flourish. Since my time working for Dr. Hock began, it’s been my goal to help pet parents navigate everything from cancer diagnoses, autoimmune disorders, Cushing’s Disease, allergies, to overall improvement of their pet’s health from within.

Back in 2017, my large bully mix, Bro, was diagnosed with a type of cancer known as hemangiosarcoma. Although devastated by the news, I was determined to improve his quality of life for the remaining time we had to share. Through personal research on holistic support, Bro surpassed his estimated life expectancy and lived for four months after diagnosis.

I carried this determination to heal naturally with me when my second bully, Mama, was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. Like Bro, she shocked conventional vets with her bloodwork after I took her treatment into my own hands through intensive research and guidance from Dr. Hock.

My most recent boy, Benny, was a very challenging medical anomaly. Between seeing him through a rare autoimmune disorder, Cushing’s Disease, as well as a pancreatic cancer known as insulinoma, I managed to collect invaluable information about a plethora of different ailments and alternative, non-invasive treatments for them.

My goal is to continue helping educate pet parents about holistic health, species appropriate diets, the ample benefits of herbs and mushrooms, and so much more!

I got my certification in canine nutrition through the Feed Real Institute in 2023

I have continued my education attending the 2023 American Holistic Vet Med Association conference and also attending the first Feed Real Summit in 2023.
